Do we all like ASMR in childhood?

Do we all like ASMR in childhood?

Yes, ASMR already exists in our childhood and in almost everyday situations:

  • getting hair combed
  • get clothes on
  • lined, wrapped, bathed
  • to be stroked the belly, if you were not so well as a child

The list could be continued endlessly.

We already know this "feeling of security" from the womb, during the pregnancy of our mothers. Because already in the belly we can recognize and also differentiate the gentle voice of our mother, the father, the brothers and sisters and further family members and friends. A lullaby, while the mother gently strokes the hair, yes, unbelievably many of us have found sleep.

So ASMR has already accompanied us there as well, albeit with a different intensity. But the feeling we felt is still the same. That is why it often seems so familiar and we can really relax while watching or listening to ASMR videos.

There are also many sounds that we know from our childhood that we still enjoy today - who doesn't know them, the good old bubble wrap that we always liked to "burst" back then. Or the nice open fire at our grandparents' house, where we could warm up after a snowball fight. And also the jingling of dishes in the morning when the parents prepared breakfast together.

All these noises have accompanied us throughout our lives and we may still enjoy them today as much as we did when we were children.
